About Joseph P Davenport
Joseph Davenport, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric cardiologist affiliated with the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart. He graduated with his medical degree from the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received pediatric residency training at UF Health Jacksonville and at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. He completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Emory University in Atlanta.
He comes to UF Health after serving as the chief of pediatric cardiology at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care in Pensacola. He has presented his research at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions annual meeting and at the Annual Conference of the German Society in Pediatric Cardiology. He served as chief of pediatrics at the U.S. Army Hospital in Berlin. During his service, he received the Army Service Ribbon, the Army Achievement Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. Dr. Davenport is employed by the University of Florida and practices at Ascension Sacred Herat in Pensacola.
