About Curt Degroff

Curt DeGroff, MD, is board-certified in pediatric cardiology. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and then he earned his Master of Science degree in electrical engineering at the California Institute of Technology. He graduated from SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn with his medical degree. 

Dr. DeGroff completed his pediatric residency program at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. There, he was a committee member for evaluation of residents as well as the chief assistant to the director of the pediatric residency program. He then completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. 

Prior to UF Health, Dr. DeGroff was an associate professor in pediatric cardiology at the University of Pittsburgh. At the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, he was the medical director of noninvasive cardiac imaging. Dr. DeGroff was also an adjunct faculty in the bioengineering department at the University of Pittsburgh and a member of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine.  

At UF Health, Dr. DeGroff is currently a professor of pediatric cardiology at the UF Health Congenital Heart Center. He also is the medical director of noninvasive cardiac imaging and serves as affiliate faculty of the University of Florida Biomedical Engineering Department. He is a member of the American Heart Association and a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.
