Lin Yang, PhD, a researcher and associate professor with the University of Florida’s J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering, will talk with us about possible research collaboration with the Congenital Heart Center. He is relatively new to UF and is currently working with other cardiologists at other centers on research projects. Several things that come to mind we could collaborate with him on is the echo protocol for transplant patients, dyssynchrony, automation of image evaluation of ventricular function, and automatic scoring of microscopic biopsy samples from transplanted hearts.

Featuring guest speaker Peter McFetridge, Ph.D., associate professor with the University of Florida’s J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. McFetridge will present his research work – which includes “Novel human-derived extracellular matrix induces in vitro and in vivo vascularization and inhibits fibrosis” – to determine if there are any areas of possible research collaboration with the UF Health Congenital Heart Center. After his presentation, we’ll discuss possible collaborations.
